Contracts between the unions representing around 146,000 workers at Stellantis, General Motors and Ford expire at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 14.

Auto workers represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW) union continue their strike as they demand higher wages and fair treatment from Jeep parent company Stellantis. The strike, which has entered its third day, stems from a refusal to accept a public offer from three Auto companies, including Stellanties, to increase payments by 21% over a four-year period.

Isaiah Goddard, a union worker in the auto industry, expressed the sentiment shared by many workers, emphasizing their desire for fair compensation and a resolution to corporate greed.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries showed his support for the striking workers by joining them on the picket line. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by the union and emphasized the importance of workers' rights and their ongoing struggle for fair treatment.

The strike highlights the ongoing tensions between labor and management in the auto industry, as workers seek better wages and improved working conditions. The rejection of Stellantis' offer indicates that negotiations are still ongoing, with both sides working to find a resolution that addresses the concerns of the striking auto workers.
